...i can't believe it's been 13 days since i posted last...
it's a busy season and time sure escapes us all i guess!
so, do you remember in one of my recent posts, i shared my photos from a very special little tea party i had and at the end of the post i encouraged you all to tell someone today that you love them ( but that you didn't HAVE to have a tea party to do so, but it sure was a fun way of doing it??)
well, my sweet friend Syrella chose to pay it forward and host her own little tea party last weekend in her home!
she had a hanful of her closest friends ( lucky me for the invite! ) and made up a lovely luncheon for us all///
soup, salad, sandwiches and the most delicious little cakes from Goodies bakery!
(and of course there was TEA! )
...perfect, happy little afternoon...
thankyou Syrelli

...hmmm...also last week, tyler finished his second set of piano books and passed Level 1 and got his little certificate from his teacher! ( he completed Level 1A last year )...so now he's excited to have some new, more challenging books in Level 2 to work with!
...this past weekend is ALWAYS a crazy busy and fun weekend for our family!
on saturday, courtney danced with her dance school at the Manitoba Highland Dancer's Association Tartan Tea, held annually at the St.James Civic Centre...this is the biggest fundraiser that MHDA holds every year so it is always just incredibly chaotic with all the other winnipeg schools there and all their families...
so, we tend to just come, dance, and scram at this concert because it is so hectic!!
( our girls backstage, on deck, before our show - except those two girls in the blue dresses? HAHA! )
...Courtney dances with Susan French School of Highland Dance...
( in case any of my friends with little ones -girls OR boys - are thinkin,.....)
...and the last group finale of the show...
:)
...sunday, yesterday, brought us to our favorite show of the year....
our own dance school concert, held at the Manitoba Deaf Centre Theatre...
( like the programs? giggle...)
...this year i was asked to M.C the show, so i didn't get to take any photos of the dancing...BUT was having a ton of fun backstage with the girls getting photos there!!!
( sorry, i can't post many because i haven't asked permission for the other girls...)
Mike was videotaping the show, so i can PAUSE and shoot some stills from that later!!!
...concert videographer / Mr.Claus extraordinaire....
heeheehee - wink!
...courtney and susan and a visit with Santa...
...and had to get some shots of some of our guests at the show to support and see Miss Courtney dance...

...a huge congratulations and big hugs to susan french on her first concert presentation!
from your thoughtful and fun choreography to suit the girls' personalities, to the planned out costumes and accessories, to the music selections, to organizing all the details and pulling it all together....
you did an amazing job, and it was nice to see you SMILING and LAUGHING at all the lessons and rehersals with the girls, no matter how stressful times may have been! you are a wonderful and loving teacher to the girls and their love for you in return shows in how close a dance family we have really all become over time. you have many, many, MANY people who are very proud of this accomplishment for you...well done!
