...i have been feeling creatively inpspired this weekend to do some scrapbooking.

after finishing my December Daily, i REALLY wanted to make a couple layouts to get some fresh air

(i don't usually scrap 'holiday' themed photos, so this was an extra challenge for me! )

so,

after dabbling a little in courtney's "13 year old" mini album ( 6 more completed pages - front and back )

and lingering on some of Marcy Penner's new layouts, i was feeling ready to do a couple layouts!

and i must admit that this first layout - HE - is a total lift from marcy...it seems her youngest son and my tyler have much in common, so i noted this particular idea a while ago and was eager to make my own!

...and this next layout for courtney just poured out of me while i was in my groove...hahaha...

she is CRAZY ( almost OCD ) over dustin byfuglien of the wpg.jets...i had to document this for her!

...courtney also performed last night in the Robert Burns celebration held at the Irish Association of Manitoba, with some pals from her dance school!  they had lots of fun together!

...yep, LOTS of FUN...

My December Daily.

you know how when you start some of these projects ( mini albums, etc...) you start off with REALLY good intentions & motivation, and then about half way through it, you wish it was over?

Anyway...as much fun as this DD project is, it is completely and totally a huge challenge to keep up with it as December is always soooooo crazy for us ( i'm sure for everyone! )

So.

i was ALMOST tempted to start another "year in our life" project...but i think i will take a break and wait til summertime...i plan to document our whole summer this year, so until then, it will just be layouts and mini albums for this girl!!

Boxing Day.

Mike took one VERY excited Courtney to river city sports so she could blow, i mean spend, her money on her much desired dustin byfuglien official jets jersey!!!

...the afternoon and evening on boxing day is always spent at my moms house, which ALWAYS gets a special visit from santa claus...(wink)

...and then on Dec.27 mike and i went out to selkirk for an ullmann christmas visit!

mike and robert were headed off to go do some ice  fishing...

...and tracy and i had a fun gift exchange together! 

LOOK!!!! i finally got some Jets wear!!!

(coincidentally the same cute slippers we bought courtney too! )

...and tracy also gave me some Biotherm body lotion, which i am TOTALLY and completely hooked on now...Mmmmm...AND a gift certificate for Scrapyard scrapbooking,

which is where WE went after the boys left for fishing! 

....here's my choice of goodies that day...

...Dec.30 found us having our first Griffin-Craine Christmas visit....

this brings me MUCH happiness, after a 12 year void, it was most special for us all to be together again...

we are all looking forward to many, many, MANY more fun times together!!!
