Welcome 2012...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

i can't believe christmas was a whole week ago already this day, and that all our shopping, baking, planning, organzing, cleaning and wrapping is OVER.
for another year....

is it just me who feels this way, because i am getting 'older', or are any of you suffering this head scratching, "where did the time go" feeling????
sigh.

at any rate, our family had a very lovely chirstmas, despite all the busy-ness that the christmas season brings.  i always enjoy every happy feeling of the christmas spirit and i am actually a little sad it is over.  except i am most anxious to regroup and refresh so i can get my household back into some kind of order!  hahaha!!!

here's a few pics of our chirstmas i thought i'd share with you...
Dec.24, lunch visit from mike's parents, liz and ken.
we had mike's homemade chili, i made a fresh garlic bread loaf and we had lots of yummy dainties for dessert!
(and yes, the kids were spoiled by gramma liz and papa ken! )

...i had a little bit of anxiety when i came into my kitchen and saw this daily countdown reminder that tyler never fails to change the numbers on....

Dec.24 PM, the griffins go for our first christmas eve visit to see our friends nikki, john and taylor in lorette!!
( yummy snacks and kids spoiled once again!! )
:)
...got home around 1am and time to settle in for some sleep...

Dec.25...
tyler was most excited to see that santa filled up a stocking again for our bunny Oliver!
it was so cute watching tyler show him every little goodie one by one...and oliver was excited to see what new goodies he was getting...

...in fact, Oliver was trying his best to just get into his stocking and see for himself!!
too cute!!
...and i can't possibly post ALL our christmas pics here, because you'll be here all day, trust me!
so here's the jist...it was most definitely a JETS christmas in our home this year!!

...well, and sheldon cooper as well....hahahaha!!

...tyler and courtney's favorite gifts this year....

...Dec.25...afternoon.
we had chirstmas dinner at our house again this year, with curtis and erith...( the newlyweds! )
...mom and grandpa...

...brother darren and niece airiel...

...and mom found a beautiful candle to light on our table for all our happy festivites in honour of my grandma!

...dinner was delicious ( if i do say so myself ) and even better was my home baked "apple of your eye" cheesecake which i got the recipe from my friend Tracy...and boy, it was just as good as the one she made me for my birthday...if i do say so myself!!!!  LOL
:)

...more gift opening after dinner with my family...
courtney was ECSTATIC to be surprised with a dustin byfuglien tshirt from grandma...i thought the glass was gonna shatter from her screeches!!!  LOL

...and then mike, curt and the kids went out on our backyard rink for a little hockey scrimmage...
FUN!!!!
...and to end off our christmas day, we packed up and went over to our friends, the malinowski's, for a late visit and another gift exchange for the kids!

courtney and rachel got each other Jets tshirts...HAHAHA!
...and courtney was sooooo super excited because rachel got her a byfuglien tshirt too, but it was different from the one she got from her grandma....actually, it was surprising that for all the Jets stuff the kids did get this year, NOTHING was the same! SWEET!

...and i think that will wrap up a couple of our big days over christmas!

I hope you and your families all had a beautiful Christmas filled with lots of happy memories!

...be back soon with more sharing AND more pics from my December Daily...
:)
