...sometimes, i really DISlike technology.

this time, because our computer has been acting up leaving me unable to upload any photos off my camera...then of course, a whack of other frustrations came along as mr.griffin worked on it...

BUT...

it is lookin' like the photo upload problem is fixed and i can finally blog again!

..so, tyler's little family birthday celebration was nice and quiet, ringing in his 'double digits'...



...and most definitely a JETS wish list for this 10 year old boy!!

...who, BTW, has been totally interested in helping prepare and learn how to use the stove/oven and help me cook daily suppers, etc...why not?  every little boy needs this life skill once they are a man...not all guys need to survive on hot dogs and KD - nor should they grow to EXPECT the little wife to do it all!

this kid has been learing it all...chopping, slicing, dicing, boiling, frying, baking...and he's loving it!

...on march 1, the husband and i had a very exciting date night!!!

we went to our first Jets game of this new season!!

they played the Florida Panthers, and kicked their butts BIG TIME!

7 - 0 Jets!!

...and yes...

this is exactly how close we were to the Jets bench!

freakin.awesome.

...for tyler...

...FOR NIKKI!!!!...

...and for ME...

...the atomosphere was incredible...

shouting "go jets go" and "true north" were a hilight...

winning 7-0 was stellar...

and just being a part of something this huge, 15,004 sold out crowd, was just so intense...

...i made a sign to bring to the game, and the next day, while watching for us on the PVR'd game, at the end when the players are giving their salute, you can see mike holding our sign, even tho you can't read it, THERE WE ARE!!!

hahaha!!

...here was our hopeful sign so the kids might see us, but not this time...

..march 3...

tyler bowled in his Provincials 4 steps to Stardom tournament.

safe to say that the base of all his unexplained stomach aches / vomitting since december comes down to an anxiety issue.  poor kid.  he puked 4 times in various garbage cans throughout the morning...

nerves got the best of him...he still bowled pretty good, but his team did not do well enough to move on to Nationals...and that's okay!!! 

proud of him for getting this far!

...after his tournament, we went on to his birthday party with his friends at U-Puttz black light mini golf!!

...instead of another cake, i bought these Jets sugar screened cookies from C-Cups bakery for all the kids and it was hilarious because not many of them wanted to EAT the darn things!  most of them asked if they could take it home to show their families!!  hahahaa....so, the cookies were a hit!

...we were told that dustin byfuglien ( Jets ) was doing an autograph session this day, so dad took the girl and stood in line for 3.5 hours to meet Big Buff and get him to sign her jersey and a photo i bought her at the game...

AND...

to get a photo with him!!!

she is STILL bouncing off the walls from meeting him and talking briefly with him...

i am so happy she got to meet "a celebrity" that she is a huge fan of, i never in my life have had an opportunity( brad, r-patz, orlando....), so i am so thrilled for her and this special moment!!

..."and mom...he smelled sooooo good!!!"....

Bahahahaha....and here we go!!

...march 12, the girl and her BFF rachel were off with school for Band Camp at Camp Cedarwood for 3 days!  i am somewhat disappointed that THIS is the only photo i got of this occasion, because even tho she brought her camera, she did not feel inclined to take even ONE lousy pic for her mom...Grr....

...she won the trophy for her Nationals portion of her competition, and the overall high aggregate for her class!  It's been a while since winning any trophies, so she is quite tickled with her results this weekend!

seriously, sunday night's season 2 finale...IN-TENSE!!

waiting til october for season 3 to start is already killing me!!  GAH!!!
